“Thank you for bringing circles to us. They helped me feel more included and helped me learn more about the people in my class and kind of build a bond.”
There are a number of ways to help Community Mediation & Restorative Services develop the capacity of the community to respectfully resolve conflict and repair harm.
Get Trained in Mediation or Restorative Practices: CMRS and our nonprofit partners offer trainings in mediation and restorative practices. These range from brief workshops to multi-day seminars, and are a great first step to become an agent of peace in the community. For more info on training, periodically check the home page of this site or the "Resources & Partners" page, or sign up for email notifications on upcoming trainings.
Volunteer: CMRS relies on the assistance of trained volunteers in mediations and restorative circles. Volunteers can simply do this as a service to the community or to build up skills for a potential career in conflict resolution. We also occasionally need volunteers to assist with events.
Donate: As a nonprofit, CMRS exists through funding from government sources, foundation grants, and donations from individuals. Your donation helps further our work to make the community a place with less conflict.
